We have been amongst the leaders in production and sales of Parboiled Rice in Italy for many decades. In our Crova Vercellese plants we carry out all the mechanical and steam processes of all rice varieties for which there is demand.

The rice is all grown locally in the provinces of Vercelli, Novara and Pavia in farms that have been selected over the years based on the quality of the product they have supplied. Every grain of rice is subject to detailed quality controls so as to guarantee excellent nutritional qualities.

At the moment we don’t distribute our rice directly to the market but we supply some of the best known rice brands in the retail industry. The most popular Riso Varazzo varieties are:

Riso Parboiled Standard lungo A tipo Ribe
Excellent cooking quality, grains stay firm, non-stick. Ideal for soups, risottos, croquettes, paella and fantasy dishes.
Cooking time: 14 minutes
 

Riso Parboiled Lungo B Tipo Indica
Exceptional cooking quality. Grains stay intact and separate. Always perfectly cooked, even when served not immediately after cooking. Ideal for side dishes, boiled rice, pilaf, salads and cold dishes.
Cooking time: 16 minutes
 
Riso Parboiled Lungo A Tipo Ribe

Particularly suited for baby food or for those who are interested in a product grown using traditional biological methods. Ideal for soups, risottos, croquettes, paella and fantasy dishes.

Riso Parboiled Lungo B Tipo Indica

Riso Integrale Parboiled Convenzionale

Parboiled whole rice: following parboiling the whole grain is separated from the husk leaving the outer layers of the grain intact and rich in nutritional properties. Available in long A ribe type, and B from conventional and biological mothods.

A new pasta like product with a specific copywright. It is pasta produced from 100% parboiled rice.
